are many rumors and false information surrounding
the sudden departure of Dr. Jenkins. As the SJS Alumni
Association President, I am determined to get to the
bottom of the real reasons why this man whom I call
coach, teacher and now friend was removed from his
position as Principal of Upper School.
Many of you new to the SJS community have been spared
the various ugly political issues that have engulfed
our precious little school ... this is in most part
due to the diligent efforts of the previous Board
of Trustee (BOT) under the leadership of Mark Fish.
But the new SJS BOT led by a small group of individuals
have made it clear that it's a new era over at SJS.
First on the agenda was to remove Dr. Dale Jenkins.
Why? On what grounds? And furthermore, why in the
middle of a school year? These pertinent questions
that every parent should know have been ignored.
The SJS BOT and its new headmaster Jorge Nelson have
decided what is in the best interest of the school
without consulting those who make it happen each day
— its teachers, students, alumni, and most of
all you the parents!

works within secrecy? Where parents are the last to
know decisions that affect the school's present and
