Frequently
Asked Questions:
Q: Has Dr. Jenkins
spearheaded this protest towards his early retirement?
A: No. Dr. Jenkins has remained silent due to his obligations
towards a Non-Disclosure Agreement. This protest is being
driven by the SJS Community which includes the students,
teachers and alumni. Because the announcement of a 'retirement'
was so abrupt and during the middle of a school year,
many are speculating that Dr. Jenkins was 'muscled' out
by the Headmaster, SJS BOT and the Bishop. Some have even
stepped forward with knowledge of a conspiracy to remove
Dr. Jenkins from the school using unethical and unprofessional
means.
Q: Is Dr. Dale Jenkins accused of committing a crime?
A: No, Dr. Jenkins has not committed any crimes and did
not retire because of any inappropriate actions.
Q: So why all the fuss?
A: The SJS BOT's silence in this matter is greatly affecting
Dr. Jenkins reputation because some are 'assuming' there
must have been improper behavior on his part.
Q: Did Dr. Jenkins want to 'retire'.
A: Dr. Jenkins has said nothing on this issue, however
when asked if he would 'return' should the BOT ask him
to, he simply answers 'I never wanted to go.' So you make
the decision!
Q: Is this site and the outrage because Dr. Jenkins may
have been asked to 'resign'? And if so, doesn't the school
have a right to make its own personnel decisions?
A: Tricky question. Yes and No. True the school has a
right to hire or fire anyone it chooses, however there
are ways in which this is done on both a moral and ethical
basis. After 26 years of committed service to the school
and a great performance record the school does have some
moral obligations to treat this man better.
Q: If Dr. Jenkins was 'asked' to 'retire', what led to
this request by the school?
A: Those facts are not clear. In fact nothing is very
clear, and therefore the outrage by the general SJS community
at the handling of this most important issue by the SJS
BOT and Headmaster.
Q: Who are on the SJS BOT?
A: We will list them out on this site at later date.
